Mi corazón anhelaba el cambio, la aventura y el amor de Dios por tanto tiempo. Arequipa me dio la oportunidad de experimentar los tres en solo una semana. En el momento en que llegamos a Arequipa, fuimos recibidos con tanta alegría, humildad y hospitalidad. Dios realmente se reveló a sí mismo a través de cada uno de los niños y miembros de la comunidad que conocimos. Saber que mi equipo y yo hicimos un impacto en Arequipa desborda mi corazón de alegría. De hecho, mi misión era ayudar a traer a Cristo a la comunidad. En cambio, la comunidad me trajo a Cristo. Alabo a Dios por darnos la fuerza para llevar a cabo nuestra misión, por las personas con las que interactuamos y por todo lo que recibimos en Arequipa.

My heart was longing for change, adventure, and God’s love for such a long time. Arequipa gave me the opportunity to experience all three in just one week. The moment we arrived in Arequipa, we were greeted with such joy, humility, and hospitality. God truly revealed himself through each of the children and community members we met. Knowing my team and I made an impact in Arequipa overflows my heart with joy. In fact, my mission was to help bring Christ to the community. Instead, the community brought Christ to me. Praise God for giving us the strength to carry out our mission, for the people that we interacted with, and all that we received in Arequipa.
