Para mi, ayudar en el colegio San Juan Apóstol fue increíble. Pensaba que iba a dar mucho a los estudiantes, y así fue. Mis amigos y yo les dimos mucho, porque les enseñábamos la catequesis de la Semana Santa y pintamos los salones. Pero en mi opinión, los niños nos dieron más de lo que dimos. Aunque muchos de ellos no tienen muchas cosas materiales, nos dieron lo que tienen: su amor, amistad, alegría, y su fe. Fue difícil salir de Arequipa y alejarme de los estudiantes, pero estoy llena de amor de Cristo. Estoy muy agradecida con Dios y con las personas Arequipeñas.

For me, helping at the San Juan Apóstol school was amazing. I thought I was going to give a lot to the students, and that’s how it was. My friends and I gave them a lot, because we taught them the catechesis of Holy Week and we painted the salons. But in my opinion, the children gave us more than we gave. Although many of them do not have many material things, they gave us what they have: their love, friendship, joy, and their faith. It was difficult to leave Arequipa and get away from the students, but I am filled with the love of Christ. I am very grateful to God and to the people of Arequipa.
